Chargers Fall to 10th-Ranked, Unbeaten Indian Hills

Facing its toughest challenge of the season, the Carl Sandburg College volleyball team hung with Indian Hills but lost 25-23, 25-20, 25-19 on Wednesday night in a nonconference match.
Tearaney Eads (Lincoln, Ill./Lincoln) had a team-best 11 kills for the Chargers (11-5), who also had six blocks and two aces from sophomore Peyton Bowman (Sciota, Ill./West Prairie).
Emily Bloomer (Burlington, Iowa/Burlington) had 12 digs for Sandburg, while Cora Vyhnanek (Colchester, Ill./West Prairie) had 22 assists.
Indian Hills, the 10th-ranked team in NJCAA Division I, improved to 14-0 on the season.

The Chargers return to Arrowhead Conference play when they travel to Illinois Valley at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
